    1U GRID Chassis

    The eRacks/QUIET system
    The eRacks/QUIET Server is designed and constructed to be low-noise, using a special combination of low-noise fans, fan-placement and other low-noise components including a low-heat CPU and ultra-quiet CPU fan.

    The standard configuration includes an Intel Atom CPU, SATA2 hard drive, 1 NIC, optical drive, DDR2 memory all enclosed in a slim 1U-height rackmount case. Choice of operating system.

    Our sound-level tests were conducted in a consistent, controlled, low-ambient-noise environment (the "quiet room" baseline above), and were performed with a GenRad precision dB sound-level meter set to consistent settings.
